Very scholarly and thorough history of mental healing in all its many forms

A bit tedious reading but containing much interesting history and insights into healing methods from ancient cultures to modern times. Very thorough and comprehensive. Interesting reading for anyone interested in where we've been in this area of healing.

A very extensive, historical and detailed look at Mental Healing!

This is a very detailed read, however, if you want to learn how healing was performed in many ways such as relics, rituals, charms, healers, and so many ways over the past 3,000 years plus, this is the book to consider.
For me, I am on a healing journey and also love to study history. This book is just what I was looking for being the history buff that I am. So even though this book went into great detail it was never boring for me.
* If you are into history and love to read, I will highly suggest this book for you. If you are looking for a shorter book on more modern day natural healing, this may not be the best book for you.
Still for the price paid (0.00), it is a great read!
