Skimpy on solid facts--perhaps a brief overview of 7 remedies

I've been into natural remedies for 45 years, so I find books like this one intriguing. I don't expect to explore a lot of facts, though, in a 30-page book, where the first 6 pages are made up of title pages, promotion, disclaimer and copyright (often in these little books too long and legalese). But that leaves 24 pages of solid material. Well, oops, the last 6 pages are promotion for another book, with the same lengthy disclaimer, copyright and promotion for this second "book."
So what do we have left? Short chapters on: Intro: Why I should read this book; (1) chamomile for insomnia, stress; (2) lavender for calmness; (3) mint for digestion; (4) honey as an antiseptic; (5) ginger for a happy stomach; (6) eucalyptus for cough and cold; and (7) Ginkgo biloba for circulation. The author claims he/she learned about these herbs through traveling and extensive research. This "extensive research" is now boiled down for you in about one or two pages per herb and its use.
Perhaps this book will serve your need to get an overview and introduction to "ancient herbal medicine," although there is so much more in that field than the 7 "remedies" offered here. Or this could be your beginning to other research materials for deeper study. But the author provided no "Resources" list.

I liked everything about this book because it help you to be healthy through the use of herbs for whatever ales you. I would recommend this book to everyone who is into herbs or if you are curious about herbs and what they can do for you. I chose this book because of my interest in herbs.
