A captivating read and a first hand journey deep into the schizophrenic mind. Despite the heavy subject matter, Francis manages to inject humor into story with accounts of actions done in the manic state to what its like to spend time in a psychiatric hospital. I recommend for anyone that has been diagnosed or has someone close to them with schizophrenia. As demonstrated, the disease is treatable, and with care one can still lead a fully productive and rich life.

Very impressive a real person story

If anyone happens to notice the term of schzoaffective disorder, that is the best book I can refer to. For the doctors, mental workers, the patients and their families and friends.
Francis is so vivid descriped how his condition developed. Where he has been, and where he is now. It shows the hope and proper way to control the mental condition.
I'm highly recommended for the first book to read for schizoaffective disorder.

i found this memoir a startling and powerful introspection chronicling a tragic and painful slide into the abyss of mental illness in someone who was previously unscathed by such a malady. A most vivid portrait of a young person on a remarkable journey with final redemption. A most impressive, well written debut as an e-book.
