This ebook is offered for free right now (as are many of the ebooks by Speedy Publishing.) Many of the books are hit or miss really so it's great to download the free ones. Keep in mind they rotate offering different ones for free at different times.
This ebook is great for free but I would've been disappointed if I bought it. It certainly could be laid out better and have more information in it but I absolutely love the vivd pictures in most of these books. You can click on "Look inside" on the main product page on Amazon and it'll show you the first few pages of the book. Unfortunately, this particular ebook doesn't show the vivd pictures in this preview. After these first few pages of "fun Facts" there are somewhat random pictures of far away places. I wish each picture would have a caption at least telling where and what it's a photo of.
Also, the description of this book is off I think. I talks about "kids from around the world" and how children like to hear about other children. Which I agree with, but the book doesn't talk about other children like I thought it would. I though maybe it would take about the way other kids dressed and what they ate and played. But this book doesn't do that. Instead it talks about different places and landmarks. Still very interesting but not what the description states.
So overall, for free these ebooks are great. I think they are great "boredom busters" for the kids. They are short and easy to read with wonderful pictures.

Beautiful pictures and wonderful facts, but very misleading with the words atlas and kids!

While this book has some beautiful pictures and rather interesting facts, the title is very misleading. I was expecting to see pictures of children from around the world with a map or maps of the places they live. Unfortunately there is neither. I went through it with my 4 year old and even she wanted to know where the kids were.
I think the layout could have been better as well. Why not have some facts with the actual picture? My 4 year old got frustrated with it because she would see the pictures and then turn the page so I could read the information and then we'd have to go back to the picture (and have me recite the information again) so that she could see what I was talking about. Also, there are some facts that don't even go with the picture before or after it. For instance, one fact states that Egypt has the largest Arabic population in the world, yet the picture before it is another fact and the one after it is a man made building in the side of a mountain with tourist coming and going. One last thing about the layout is that the pictures don't even tell you what the picture is (i.e. what, if any, ceremony is being held with the picture of dancers or what part of China they are showing or even who the people are).
The reason I'm giving this book 3 stars is because it did keep my child interested for a bit with the pictures. However, if you are thinking of purchasing this book for educational reasons you might want to look some place else. Unless you know your history and geography and can explain what all the pictures are.

I got "World Atlas For Kids - Kids From Around The World , the Kindle Edition" , I read it with my six years old daughter, it has a lot of facts and I liked that, the short text paragraphs with good information and facts is good for her because she still learning reading, the photos are kids friendly and their quality is very good.
The pictures look great even in black and white and are excellent on the full color kindle. The description in the large text beneath is simple enough for early readers or for a parent to guide a child through. There are also picture captions that provide more information to talk about with your child. Alternatively, a child of any age (even the child in you) can just look at the images and appreciate its beauty
