A lovely story written from the heart. My book arrived yesterday and I did not put it down until I finished every word . Accompanied by photographs and amazing, hand-written notes by the author's parents, you will be drawn in to this wonderful love story.
This morning I brought the book to my 86 year old Dad who lost his sister to Alzheimer's. He hasn't put it down.
This is a great gift for anyone dealing with a loved one tormented by this disease, as well as for health care workers. It is a unique perspective that I, as a nurse, found very grounding.
You,too, will fall in love when you read "Forget me Not". The love, respect and devotion that Ms. Irving had for her parents is truly inspirational.

A Labor of Love

Dealing with Alzheimer's can be stressful for many families and Bobbi Irvings memoir pulled me into her world and engagingly beared all - the good, the bad, & the humoris.
After a little exposition of her parents meeting and courtship, Ms Irving takes us from the good life (growing up in a loving family-dynamic) to hardship (Alzheimer's affecting her Mother).
The chapters are quick reads that lend well to good pacing. The book is peppered with photographs and hand-written letters (by her Alzheimer's-affected mother) that also engage the reader.
I'm a healthcare professional anxiously awaiting Irving's next book!
