This book is a solid, step by step guide for head and neck cancer surgery with 100s of intraoperative drawings and full color photographs of in a how to treat: surgery, chemotherapy, and radiation approaches compared with one another.
Procedures such as: tracheostomy, parotid tumor, salivary gland resections, anterior and posterior skull base neoplasms, laryngectomy, pharyngectomy, orbital, hemifacial, and radical commando procedures are included. Sarcomas with spread to the orbital, and nasal passages are also discussed with attention to step by step detail. Pectoralis, forehead, and fibular myocutaneous flaps are diagramed with surgical positions and approaches used.
I highly recommend this book to students, residents, head and neck oncologists, and unquestionably head and neck surgeons. High points are thyroid disease and flaps.
