A Valuable Resource

Samples for Success is a valuable resource for both new and seasoned life care planners. It is a collection of 25 redacted life care plans from several experienced life care planners. The plans presented vary in structure and format. Background information is given about each case, including specific points to note, things to consider, and sometimes outcome of the case. Each chapter concludes with a resource section and the appendix has additional resources. There is also a chapter on how to create a professional curriculum vitae. Samples for Success contains a wealth of practical information I have not been able to find elsewhere. The plans presented demonstrate there are many different ways to approach the development of a life care plan. I enjoyed reading the background information about each case, as this gave me practical information about the decisions life care planners make, things they consider when developing or defending a plan, obstacles they face and how they overcome them. The resource lists are impressive and very helpful when developing your own life care plan. I find Samples for Success a valuable asset to any successful life care planning practice.

Great desk reference

If you're looking for a resource to confirm whether you're on the right track, this is the resource. As a young industry there just aren't simply enough resources out there for the new nurse life care planner. This book was a life saver. I'm so glad to have a desk reference handy. The only complaint I have is that the book is HUGE, but I've heard from the publisher that are considering a CD-Rom to accompany the book.

Each injury category has a uniquely designed cost projection summary specially formulated to present the pertinent items for that injury/illness. This book is a perfect reference guide for beginner and seasoned life care planners.
