Le comte de Monte Cristo

Le livre est sublime, accrochant, unique. La version est complète, mais il y a de rares erreurs de frappe et de ponctuation, ce qui n'empêche pas de lire avec un grand plaisir. Idéal pour liseuse, car il s'agit d'un roman très long. Nul francophone ne devrait s'en passer.

A true classic and an epic of suffering, paying back the noble souls and seek unforgiving revenge against the wicked ones responsible for one's miseries.
Flying in the face of christian forgiveness, and for this reason a source of scandal in deeply catholic France when the book came out, Dumas' masterpiece tells perpetual truths about human nature, unsettling as those might be.
Like in all cases, the original beats translations. If you can read French fluently, get this version.

Who am I to rate a classic?

A masterpiece form Alexander Dumas Sr.. First of 4 tomes, it's a complete copy and it has no typos. As most free Kindle books it misses a Table of Contents, but that's not really a must in a romance. If you just know this story by Hollywood movies it's time to read it, not matter if you read the original French version, or a translation. Edmond Danté, and the count of Monte Cristo, are strong characters looking for a revenge from a conspiracy, but what they find instead is ... (no spoils)
